It was Phineas' 17th birthday. He was having an amazing time at his surprise birthday party, which he had no clue his family and friends were planning. He was so oblivious, he even thought Ferb and Isabella were seeing each other behind his back, when all they were doing were helping plan the best birthday party ever.
The week before his birthday was horrible. Phineas thought everyone was ignoring him, and he thought Candace wasn't coming to visit with Jeremy, but they weren't ignoring him, and Candace and Jeremy DID come for his birthday.
His best presents were from Candace and Isabella. Candace gave him a simple hundred dollars, but he loved it. Isabella gave him what seemed to just be a screwdriver, but when Phineas pressed a button on the side of the handle it converted into a hammer, then a wrench, then a crow-bar, then a axe, then a pen, then a toothbrush.
Even though those presents were amazing, that wasn't the best part. The best part came after the presents, after the cake, after the fireworks, after the party mostly.
The only people left at his house were his closest friends. The former Fireside Girls, Isabella, Willow, Boe, Django, Buford, Baljeet, Candace, Jeremy, and of course Ferb and his parents, who lived there. They all stayed to help clean up the backyard, which was a mess. Soda cans, napkins, paper plates and confetti littered the well-mowed grass. Toilet paper hung from the large tree from the backyard, no thanks to Buford. The trash can set out for the garbage was overflowing onto the patio. Wrapping paper from all the presents were scattered around the yard. And a fold-out table was cramped with half eaten food and beverages.
When they finally finished cleaning- around 11:00 pm – Everyone went inside for Hot Chocolate, even though it was spring. Phineas was about to walk in with his friend when he noticed someone missing. He looked around for a certain ebony-haired girl, and spotted Isabella sitting, wearing a pretty indigo sundress that reached to her knees with spaghetti straps, also wearing a matching indigo bow. Her back was against the large oak tree.
Phineas put his hands in his pockets in his and walked over. When he was beside her, she looked up and smiled while standing up.
"Hey birthday boy." Isabella said cheerily.
"Hey" Phineas said back, smiling kindly.
"Wha'cha doin' out here?" She asked, tilting her head and leaning on the tree. Phineas thought for a moment and then just shrugged. Isabella raised a brow. "Phineas Flynn has nothing to say? Shocking." Phineas rolled his eyes playfully and she smirked slyly. "I shall ask again. Wha'cha doin' out here?" She asked again, with a sparkle in her eyes.
"I'm talking with my beautiful girlfriend, now I will ask you the same question. What are YOU doing out here? Everyone is inside enjoying Hot Chocolate." Isabella opened her mouth to say something, but just shrugged her shoulders like Phineas did the first time. Phineas chuckled while Isabella giggled, but then Phineas went serious.
"Isabella, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have suspected you and Ferb were… together. I should have known, and I should have trusted you-"
Isabella interrupted, "Phineas, it's ok. It was just a misunderstanding."
Phineas shook his head. "No it's not ok. You and Ferb would never do that. I was too stupid to figure it was for my birthday. Even if it weren't about my birthday, it wouldn't have been flirting, because you two are like siblings. You could have been talking about anything…"
Isabella sighed as he kept blabbing. She only knew of one way to shut him up, but she didn't know if it was a good idea. What if he didn't want to make that big of a step yet? Isabella stopped thinking when Phineas started to wave his hands around while talking. 'Eh, I'll take a chance just to stop him talking.' She thought. And with that she wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him in, her lips pressing into his. Phineas stopped talking and was tense. 'Uh oh, I shouldn't have done this' Isabella thought. 'He is probably going to pull away and break up with me.' Just when she was going to pull away, Phineas relaxed and put his hands around her waist, pulling her closer and kissing her back. This might sound cheesy and cliché, but Isabella swore she saw fireworks, even when the firework show ended about two hours ago. The passionate kiss lasted for a few more seconds, and then they pulled apart. Isabella was smiling and Phineas' eyes were filled with love. After a few seconds of looking into each other's eyes, Phineas spoke up.
"I still shouldn't have thought you two were cheating on me."
Isabella groaned. Not even kissing him would shut him up! She would try one more thing. While he was talking Isabella took his shoulders and pushed Phineas, making him fall with a surprised yelp. Isabella laughed cleverly and started to walk towards the house, but she tripped over Phineas' leg, which he purposely planted in front of her. She landed with an 'Oof' next to Phineas. When Isabella looked up at Phineas he kissed her, like she kissed him. What seemed like forever- only a few seconds- they pulled apart, both smiling.
"Race you inside!" Isabella exclaimed while hopping up and running to the house.
"Hey no fair!" Phineas yelled back at her, also getting up and running to the house.
Little did they know that everyone was watching them, seeing their first kiss. Ferb and Candace high-fived when they saw their brother and neighbor have their first kiss, while Jeremy, Buford, Baljeet and Django smiled, and the former Fireside Girls giggled and squealed. When Linda and Lawrence walked in to see what everyone was doing, they saw Phineas and Isabella kissing their second time.
Linda smiled and breathed, "Finally."

Chapter 14 ~ A gained opportunity
Isabella slumped forward and rested her head on her arms. "At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm back to square by now." She muttered to herself.
It had already been a week since her home coming and so far, it was probably one of the best weeks of her life. Not only did she get her old friends back, but she was surprised to see that while much had changed, not much had changed at the same time. As far as her friends were concerned, it was like she never left in the first place. And she was glad that never changed.
One thing she did hope that had changed was how oblivious her best friend had been. Sadly, that

Chapter 17 ~ The surprising reaction
"What have I done?"
Phineas paced the living room back and forth, frantically muttering the sentence over and over as if something horrible had just occurred. "What have I done, what have I done, what have I done?"
Tired, he finally collapsed on the couch and let out a long, drawled out sigh. "I can't believe I did that... I... I kissed her" He admitted to himself. "...I kissed Isabella..."
"Why? Why did I..." Phineas trailed off as the kiss began to replay over and over in his mind, the memory still fresh in his mind. Groaning, he tried to stop it, but it just kept flashing in front of his eyes and he
